What a week we have had! On Wednesday afternoon, we had some special visitors from Sainsbury's Heaton Park. They work upstairs at Explore Learning. They told us we were going to do some calculations to work out the perfect recipe for some pretty disgusting meals. The information we were given was written in Roman Numerals so we had to convert these into our everyday numbers. Luckily, this was easy for us as we spent a lot of time learning about Romans and Roman numerals before Christmas. Miss Whitehead was really pleased to see how much we had remembered.
As you can see, some of the ingredients included parrot, sea urchins and a door mouse. They didn't sound like the kind of meals we would want to eat but we really enjoyed working with the teachers from Sainsbury's! We hope we get to see them again.
