We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating The Queen's 90th birthday! We looked at how British values are present in our classroom and designed bunting and flags with the union jack on them! Mr Winstanley held the May Pole while we did some traditional British dancing around it which was so much fun! At break time the Great British Bake Off cakes were judged and although they were all fantastic (and very tasty) Georgia in our class won 1st prize and Ruby was a runner up! Then we had an amazing experience... we skyped The Queen! She took the time to answer our questions and we learnt a lot about Her Majesty! Then we listened to awesome music and played British party games such as pass the parcel and musical statues! In the afternoon we had traditional British afternoon tea! There was cucumber sandwiches, jam sandwiches, cookies and of course, scones with jam and cream darling! We were very posh! Our brilliant day was finished off with the Britain's Got Talent final. All the acts were very brave and showed us some excellent performances. Paola in our class was the joint winner! We were all really proud and happy for her! What a great end to a super day!
